What’s the best trip you’ve ever taken and why?

One of the most memorable trips I ever took was a photographic safari to Botswana, Africa. We spent sixteen surreal days in the bush surrounded by exotic animals and rough terrain without any sounds or sites of civilization.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

The best advice I can offer is to listen closely to what others have to say and be prepared to modify your own thinking based on new understandings. The ability to be flexible with our own thoughts and behaviors enables us to engage more thoughtfully with others, thus enabling better outcomes.

What’s your favorite memory?

I spent my childhood summers working on my grandparents’ farm. We would rise early to feed the cows, calves and chickens, then we would head out to the fields. It was hard work, but it was rewarding knowing that we were doing something meaningful that helped two people who were instrumental in making me the person I am today.
