Centric Consulting has been ranked #3 in the nation among Consulting Magazine’s “Best Small Firms to Work For.” What's more, Centric’s scores for employee morale ranked the highest in the publication’s overall contest, including both large and small consulting firms. Thirteen thousand people representing 205 firms, submitted surveys in this year’s contest. The winners have just been announced in the current issue of Consulting Magazine.
This is the first year for the “Small Firm” category, which was defined by Consulting Magazine as a firm with fewer than 350 billable consultants. The publication thought it was important to create the new category due to the impact that smaller, niche firms have had in this industry. All firms, however, were judged on the exact same criteria: career development, compensation and benefits, culture, work/life balance, the job and leadership. Consulting Magazine collected all the survey responses and measured them against one another to compile the rankings. Centric’s leadership was thrilled with the announcement and honor, noting that the marks for employee morale are what lead to the firm’s 98% retention rate, a rarity in the consulting industry. “We created the company with the intent to provide high value to our clients, along with a unique culture and work/life balance for our employees,” said Larry English, Centric’s President and co-founder. “It’s really rewarding to have our employees validate their passion and enthusiasm for the company and the services they provide. As a professional services firm, it means everything to us to have happy and motivated consultants.” In the past few years, Centric has experienced significant growth, successfully increased its staff of consultants and won numerous accolades along the way. In both 2007 and 2008, INC Magazine ranked Centric among the 5,000 Fastest Growing Privately-Held Companies in the U.S. for its triple-digit growth. In 2007, it became the 5th Fastest Growing Consultancy in the U.S. Also in 2007, Centric’s Cincinnati and Columbus business units were honored in the Best Places to Work contest, featured by American City Business Journals. |
