The Business Need:Centralized Diagnostics (one of six divisions within this pharmaceutical firm) wanted to analyze their customer and contract base and implement price increases where appropriate. The contract management process was lengthy, inaccurate, and required weeks of manual effort from 10+ analysts.Enter Centric:Centric engaged analysts and contract specialists to map out the entire contract management process. Once reporting requirements were finalized, contract data was gathered from separate sources and reorganized into a single data warehouse. Within the data warehouse, contracts flow through an approval process and analysts are now notified up to 12 months in advance of possible price increase opportunities. Additionally, data inconsistencies are identified at the beginning of the process which allows notifications to be assigned to the appropriate analyst for issue resolution. An intranet web application was then created to facilitate notifications, reporting and interaction with the data.Key objectives associated with this engagement included:
Results:Contract price increases are now routed and executed through a new data warehouse and web application. The efficiency and accuracy of the application has resulted in millions of additional revenue for this client which will continue to compound annually. |
