Centric

Centric ranks number one in Business First Magazine's "Best Places to Work" list.
Yes, it's true that Centric has an employee retention rate of 98 percent—unheard of in our industry. And it's true that our consultants have the pleasure of doing great consulting—leading edge thinking and technology—for reputable clients who respect our insights and contribution. But when we say that Centric has created “a consultant’s utopia,” we need significant proof to support the claim.

Well, the results are in. We are thrilled to report that our firm ranked number one in Business First Magazine's third annual "Best Places to Work" listings.

The ranking wasn't easy to earn. Some 115 companies were nominated by their employees and 86 became eligible based on the number of employees that answered questionnaires for the program. Companies then competed in groups according to size as defined by total numbers of employees.

Business First retained Quantum Market Research, a Kansas firm that has conducted numerous employment engagement studies for some of America's best known companies, to conduct the program. The firm examined several dimensions of workplace satisfaction, such as work-life balance, perks and compensation.

As good as work-life balance is, it's only a small part of what makes Centric a great place to work, says Mike Brannan, vice president of technology. "Culturally, this is a low-ego kind of place. It's very collaborative," he says. " You get access to people, voices are heard, and everyone rolls up sleeves and gets to work. We treat people fairly. Family is too trite a word to describe us but we are tight group of people."
