Joe Smucny is Vice President of the Cleveland / Northeast Ohio Business Unit. Joe brings a variety of executive management experience that offers leadership for our firm’s operations and at the same time empathy for our client’s executives. He most recently served as Chief Information Officer at Cuyahoga Community College, Ohio’s first and largest community college. His responsibilities included the development of the vision and the management of operations for all facets of IT at the college, across its seven locations, serving over 40,000 students. Prior positions include co-founder and COO of an IT support services firm that focused on higher education, government, and non-profits; Vice President of Operations for a regional IT management consulting firm; and Accenture, where he served Global 100 clients with a focus on supply chain management and ERP implementations. Joe’s closest friends know him to be a huge Cleveland fan, a hometown boy, and self-proclaimed polka king. He was born and raised in Northeast Ohio and is committed to his region’s economic and workforce development. Joe provides leadership through several non-profit boards and he enjoys coaching, fitness, and the outdoors. “My family is the most important thing in my life, and I also understand the importance of being a community leader and servant that makes a difference.
