Des Varady is a Vice President responsible for Centric’s Florida operations and consulting practice.

A seasoned business leader, operational executive and entrepreneur, Des’ experience spans healthcare, commercial & retail banking, government and insurance, with emphasis on operations, sales & marketing and M&A.  His roles have included:

  • Several executive leadership positions at Sapient Corporation (NASDAQ: SAPE), where he led high growth consulting practices, international expansion, M&A and principal investing.  His clients included Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, FleetBoston, Protective Life Insurance and Vanguard Investments.
  • Chief Executive Officer of HWT, a healthcare auditing company where he worked closely with private and public health (Medicare and Medicaid programs in more than 30 states) and worker’s compensation insurers, and led a successful business turnaround and sale to UnitedHealth Group.
  • Chief Financial Officer for National Strategies, a Washington, DC based government consulting and lobbying firm, where he established a growth-supporting finance & operations platform, following a substantial private equity investment.
  • Founder of two successful investment businesses.

A full scholarship graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Des is a former United States Army Captain. He lives in Sarasota, Florida with his wife Krista and two sons.
