My colleague Tom Rose sent me this video of Mary Meeker, Director of Morgan Stanley’s Global Technology Research Team, providing statistics around mobile device Internet usage and the various implications on things like the consumer market place, telecommunications companies, and even corporate IT. Given the confluence of location aware mobile devices (iPhone / Droid), network speed (3G), application echo-systems (iTunes), and social networking (Facebook) the rate of rate of adaptation is simply unprecedented.
